I am working on the planning and research and development of Resilience ICT-related R & D projects. Focusing on research and development of green and resilient network infrastructure, Iam also working on the creation of resilient EICT engineering. Key Words Resilient EICT / information communication system / network architecture / microwave photonics Website NICT Beyond 5G Project JST OPERA Project Research Activities To apply the "4 Rs" proposed as a resilience framework to the realization of a resilient network, the network must be equipped with an autonomous decentralized coordination mechanism. To prevent network functionality and performance from degrading after a disaster, we can achieve Robustness and Redundancy by "Autonomy" and "Redundancy" respectively. To restore network functionality and performance before a disaster, Resourcefulness and Rapidity can be achieved through "coordination". In other words, through "Autonomy" and "Distribution" of the network, the surviving networks cooperate autonomously to keep the network running. In addition, network resources from outside (Ad-hoc NWs) can be deployed and "coordinated" with the surviving networks to quickly restore the network. In a cyber-physical system where physical space and server space are closely linked by EICT (Energy Information Communication Technology), objects (Xi) in physical space can be constructed as a digital twin in cyber space. Resilient EICT Engineering aims to apply EICT-based autonomous distributed cooperative systems to cyber-physical systems. To build cyber-physical systems, research and development of technologies such as architectures, protocols, and devices are required. To build autonomous decentralized cooperative systems, research and development of mathematical models and design theories are required. We believe that a social engineering approach can incorporate the field of social science into cyber-physical systems. Selected Works K. Iwatsuki and H.
